What is one form of marking identity?
Naming which can be emic meaning an inside name given by people themselves or etic which is an outside label placed on them by others.
What are symbols
Something verbal or non verbal that arbitrarily and by convention stands for something else with which it has no necessary or natural connection.
They are signs that have no self evident connection to the things for which they stand.
What are the two categories of symbols
Non tangible: are practises and observations of certain customs
Tangible: are those can be seen and remain behind when individual is gone.
