What are the four aspects of health?
Physical, mental, social, and spiritual
What does it mean to be Physically healthy?
To have enough energy for daily work and activities.
What does it mean to be Mentally healthy?
Being able to live comfortably with yourself.
What does it mean to be Socially healthy?
You must be able to play your social role (such as a brother, father, teammate, etc.) correctly.
What does it mean to be Spiritually healthy?
To know why you’re here and for what purpose.
What is Stress?
Your body’s reaction to a threat.
What the stigma?
A mark of disgrace / A stain on your reputation
What is body image?
The mental picture one has of their physical appearance.
What are the 3 causes of eating disorders?
- Society
- Abuse
- The voices within.
How does Society cause eating disorders?
Society’s push for a certain weight to ‘look good’ and anything above it to be fat. Thin models are a great example of this. This is usually unrealistic.
How does Abuse cause eating disorders?
Not eating finally gives them control over something for once in their lives. By not eating they numb their feelings. and if they die, the abuse will stop (this is actually kinda sad.)(na let em die.)(Wow Saavn that is not very nice)
How do The Voices Within cause eating disorders?
The voices tell them they’re fat and ugly. They only way to fix that is to become thin.
What is Anorexia?
An eating disorder where one stops eating to be thin.
They don’t believe they have a problem.
What is Bulimia?
An eating disorder where one binge eats and then throws it up to stay thin.
They know they have a problem.
What is overeating?
An eating disorder where one binge eats as a way to escape their problems in life.
They know they have a problem
What is self-esteem?
Refers to the confidence you have. Having a greater appreciation and acceptance of yourself.
What are the 3 body types?
Ectomorph, Endomorph and Mesomorph.
What are Ectomorphs like?
Lean and skinny build.
What are Endomorphs like?
Short and fat build (in a nice way).
What are Mesomorph like?
In the middle in terms of height, but very muscular.
What is the Set Point Theory?
A theory that there is a set weight your body was programmed to weight and your body will fight to maintain that weight.

What are the 3 pillars of self-esteem?
- Need to Feel Loved and Accepted
(To have a sense of belonging.) - Need to Feel Acceptable
(To have a sense of worthiness.) - Need to Feel Adequate
(To have a sense of competence.)
Why are all 3 pillars of self-esteem Equally important?
It takes all three pillars to hold your self-esteem up, like how a three-legged chair needs all three legs to stay standing.

What is hypochondria?
Exaggerating concern for one’s health.
What is psychosis?
Lost touch with reality and can barely function in society.
What is suicide?
Taking of one’s life.
