all the fluranes (sevoflurane, desflurane, etc)
what is the toxic dose for Lidocaine?
4.5mg/kg (without epi)
7 mg/kg (with epi)
What is the toxic dose for Marcaine?
2.5 mg/kg (without epi)
3 mg /kg (with epi)
What is the landmark for entering the epidural space?
under the L2 vertebrae
what are the contra-indications to an epidural?
coagulopathy severe hemorrhage or shock local infection hypotension severe hemorrhage or shock preexisting neurological dz extremes of age

localized infection septicemia coagulopathy or thrombocytopenia hypotension or shock aortic stenosis/ mitral stenosis preexisting neurological dz
