- cant stop grace from being sent but can stop from entering your heart

- consecrated life- (sisters/nuns & brothers/monks); not ordained; take 3 vows (celibacy, obedience, and poverty)
- ordained men: deacon(transitory & permanent), priests, and bishops
- laity- everybody else in the body of the church
explain the 4 marks of the church
one- each parish is a part of a diocese, which then becomes part of the universal church, the church is universal which brings us all together as one. catholics participate in the same Mass and Sacraments unifying us as one. We all share the same beliefs and same goals which makes us one
holy- the church is connected to the holy spirit. The holy spirit is a guide for all of us. The sacraments help us to grow in holiness
catholic- the church is universal. Christ is present in the church. the church’s mission is to everyone. The church offers full salvation, fullness of faith, the sacraments and ordained ministry by apostolic succession
apostolic- the church is founded on the apostles. the apostle’s teaching has been passed down to us through the church. the church is represented by a succession of leaders down to us through the church. the church is represented by a succession of leaders who act in the name of jesus christ
explain incarnation
- taking on the flesh
- god took on flesh and became man
- god loves us and wants to be near us
- we got to see the glory of the father’s only son full of grace and truth
- we want to be close to the ones who know is, protect us and most of all love us. God who is spirit took on flesh and became a human being
