When do programmed strips commence from?
TO time
What are the limits on number of programmed sorties for students in a day/48 hours?
- No more than 2 per day
- No more than 3 in 48 hours
What is the minimum time between taxi in and TO for consecutive airborne events?
3 hours
In order to maximum the training benefit of airborne syllabus events, what should the max period between programmed sorties not exceed? What can be looked into if this time period is exceeded?
- 14 days
- A currency event can potentially be scheduled
For early GF Sorties GF1-10 how much should be included as a buffer to allow for briefing, admin and checks?
0.3 hours
What do solo student sorties require where AEHR, Meteorological Services, and ATS services are not available?

For night solos, what are the requirements for flights before each night solo sortie?
Require one night dual sortie on the same night before each night solo sortie.
What are solo student sorties required to be programmed with? What is required if this is not available?
- SAR support
- CO/CFI approval
For night flying, when is a student’s start of duty time?
The briefing for any programmed day event or commencement of night flying brief, whichever occurs first.
What should be be the earliest TO time for a navigation exercise?
No earlier than 0930h to allow students time to complete all necessary pre-flight planning.
At what intervals should medium level departures for nav flights planning to go outside controlled airspace or land away be?
10 min intervals.
