16
Q

Portable O2 Bottle

what is it pressurized to?

how many flow outlets are there (per cylinder)

what are their flow ratings and uses

A

1800 psi

2

2L/min walk around & 4L/min first aid

17
Q

Fire Extinguishers

what types do we have and what are they used for?

A

Water Fire ext: water mixed with anti-freeze (has co2 cartridge) for fabric, wood or paper

Halon: all types of fires but primarily on electrical, fuel and grease

18
Q

If a fire extinguisher is to be discharged in the cockpit - what should you do?

A

all crewmembers are to wear O2 mask (at 100% emergency)

19
Q

Do not open the entry or cargo doors if the wind is greater than ____

A

40 kts (dont keep them open if >65 kts)

20
Q

Flt deck Door operation

the door locks when electrical power is ________ and unlocks when power is _____-

A

locks - power is applied

unlocks - power is removed

21
Q

How do you prevent access to the flt deck using the deadbolt (vs key)

A

door has a deadbolt (with a key lock on the pax cabin side)

rotating BOTH deadbolt levers to the locked position (horizontal) prevents pax cabin key from unlocking door.

22
Q

The flt door emergency access panel has a ___ button keypad and ___ lights

What are the lights and meanings

A

6

3 lights

Red -door locked

Amber - illuminates when correct access code entered

Green - door unlocked

23
Q

Flt Deck Door - what happens if pressurization is lost

A

2 pressure sensors unlock the decompression panels (if press lost)

  • the panels have manual release pins

pulling the pins frees the panels allowing egress (if door is jammed)

24
Q

which flight window can be opened from the outside

A

FO window #2 Only

25
Q

What fire ratings do the cargo comparments have

A
26
Q

What does a class c fire compartment mean

A
27
Q

Describe the cargo compartment

A

they are sealed and pressurized but do NOT have fresh air circulation and temp control

28
Q

What does the pressurization equalization valve do in the cargo comparment?

How many

and where in the comparment are they

A

located in the AFT bulkhead

each compartment

only 1 per

the valves let only enough air flow into or out of comparment to keep pressure nearly the same as cabin

29
Q

What are the blowout panels in the cargo compartment for?

A

provide pressure relief at a greater rate than the relief valve to help if pressurization lost.

30
Q

The overwing exits locking system are powered by?

A

28 v dc

31
Q

When do the Overwing emergency exits Lock

When does it unlock?

A

LOCK.

  • 3 of 4 entry/svc doors are CLOSED - and -
  • either engine is running - and -
  • air/gnd logic shows the plane is in the air
      • or - both thrust levers advanced

UNLOCK.

  • when any of the above are NOT met -or-
  • DC power is lost
32
Q

What will illuminate the:

Left Overwing (or Right Overwing) warning lights

DOORS annunciator

MC light

A

Occurs during takeoff roll or in flight

  • when an emergency exit door is not fully closed and locked - or -
  • when flight lock is not engaged
33
Q

What will happen if a flight lock has failed or a fault detected?

A

Illuminate the PSEU

OVERHEAD annunciator

MC light

34
Q

What powers the galleys

A

115v AC (from transfer bus)

35
Q

How many tanks are provided for potable water?

Where are the location(s)

A

1 tank

located behind the aft cargo compartment

36
Q

How is the water system pressurized

A

by engine bleed air or by the water system air compressor

37
Q

What happens to the waste water from galleys and lav sinks

A

its drained overboard through 2 heated drain masts.
