Home Rule League Movement
1 ) Tilak and Annie Besant started HRL in response to the involvement of Indian troops in WW1
2 ) HRL demanded expected British would repay the Indian loyalty in WW1 with genuine devolution of power after WW1
3 ) 1916 onwards, the leagues gave public speeches, organized plays and libraries to build nationalists consciousness and revive political activity during WW1

2 ) Opposed the three-pound Poll tax imposed on migrant workers
3 ) Opposed compulsory registration of marraiges according to christian customs
4 ) All three were revoked
