Smoking increases the chances of getting breathing problems, cancer and heart attacks.
What is passive smoking?
Passive smoking is when you breathe in smoke or other peoples smoke from scigarets that increase your chance of developing circulatory and respiratory condisions. This is called passive smoking.
What is the name of the addictive drug in tobacco smoke?
The name of the drug in tobacco smoke is nicotine.
Why do smokers cough a lot when they wake up?
Smokers cough a lot when they wake up because the cillia is damaged and it is harder for the damaged cilia to collect mucus, therefore it is hard to cough it out.
Why is smoking bad during pregenancy?
Smoking is bad during pregenancy because it can cuase the baby may not grow propperly and can be born underweight.
What are three things smoking can do to you?
Smoking can damage the cilli on the walls of your windpipeand they stop collectiong/sweeping the mucus in your stomach so they dont keep your airways clean. This can cause infections. Chemicals in tobacco effect the alveoli in your lungs. Their walls become weaker so they dont inflate properly, this is why it is harder for smokers to breath. Smoking causes peoples arteries to become blocked. Thus prevents blood flowing and can cause a heart attack or stroke.

Tar is a sticky black substance that builds up in your lungs and irritates.
What does nicotene do to you?
Nicotene is a stimulant drug that narrows your blood vestles.
What does carbon monoxide do to you?
Carbon monoxide is a poisonous gas that stops oxygen from binding to your red blood cells.
