What is C-Way?
Career Waypoints - a system designed to help match personnel inventory with fleet requirements.
C-Way is a force management tool that does what?
Balances manning across rates, pay grades (ratings), AC, FTS, and RC through BUPERS control of reenlistment & extension authority.
Who is required to use C-Way for lateral or component conversions?
ALL E-6 and below in AC, FTS, and RC (with less than 14yrs service)
Who is required to use C-Way for reenlistment/extension or rating designation?
ALL E-6 and below in AC or FTS
What form is used to gain access to C-Way?
OPNAV FORM 5239/14 (SAAR-N)
How many C-Way modules are there and what are they?
4: C-WAY-REEN; C-WAY-CONV; C-WAY-TRANS; C-WAY-PACT
Define C-WAY-REEN.
Applies to all rated E-3 to E-6 in AC or FTS w/less than 14 yrs service at EAOS
Define C-WAY-CONV.
Applies to all rated AC, FTS, or SELRES desiring conversion to new rate.
Define C-WAY-TRANS.
Applies to all rated AC, FTS, or SELRES desiring a component transfer (from AC to SELRES or FTS to AC, etc.)
Define C-WAY-PACT.
Applies to all undesignated sailors wanting to be rated.
Why are MPM 1440-010 and NAVADMIN 150/13 important?
They define eligibility for C-WAY-CONV

Sailors Selected or Frocked to Chief (E-7)
