Installed propeller information is found where?

Uninstalled propeller preservation information is found where?
PMM - propeller maintenance manual
What are the storage periods divided into?
. 3 months = short period
. 6 months = long term
. 12 months = long term
. 3 years = long term
What are the ideal temperatures for storage?
10 - 20 degrees
For propellers with a variable pitch prop what needs to happen? All stages
The mechanisms need to be exercised to circulate the oil in the pitch change mechanism prior to engine shut down.
If props kept on the wing for more than 3 months what should happen?
Pitch change mech flushed using a inhibiting oil and covered with waxed paper. External parts treated with lanolin/ anti corrosion treatment
What should you ensure when using lanolin?
That it does not come in contact with the de icer points
How should wooden props be stored?
In a horizontal position to maintain moisture distribution
If longer than 6 months what should you do if the prop gave pre loaded bearings?
Blades should be rotated every 6 months to prevent brinelling - then left at least one inch away from its original position
With pre loaded blades, what must happen for 12 months storage?
Blades exercised after 6 and 9 months then, at 12 months bearings mice be removed and visually examined for signs of brinelling and corrosion
Everything is the same for 3 years except for what?
The propeller must be sent to overhaul as required by AWN75 after 3 years
All parts held in storage require what?
EASA form 1 - certificate of conformity and a valid certificate of release to service
