What is the exposition

A

Two subjects
First subject - always in the home key, lively and dramatic
Then a short transition or bridge passage
Second subject - contrast to first
Usually on subdominant, or dominant note

A

Develop one or both of the subjects from the exposition
- Sometimes feature modulations to keys
