Minutes of the meeting
-Minutes are a formal written record of what is discussed and decided during a meeting. They should be ABC
A= Accurate. B=Brief. C= Clear

Benefits
-Proof is provided if what was discussed-can refer back to later which can settle arguments
-Notes any agreed targets-improved productivity and helpful for evaluating work progress
-Action required by members is highlighted-provides accountability of who should do what so easier to supervise staff and tasks
-Inform absentees or interested non-members about what took place at the meeting improving communication
Consequences
-Notice of meeting distributed with short notice ➡️Attendance will be effected-the quorum may not be reached and the meeting cannot run
-Agenda not carefully planned ➡️May run over
-Chairperson not well briefed ➡️Poor decision making may be made
-Venue not suitable;no visuals, refreshments etc ➡️Room may be too small and/or people may be uncomfortable so concentration is poor
