Step 1 Write the given problem.
3/5 ÷ 4/7 =

Step 2 Rewrite with the reciprocal of the divisor = 3/5 x 7/4
Step 3 Multiply the numerators and the denominators. = 3/5 x 7/4
Step 4 Calculate the quotient.
= 21/20
Step 5 Write as a mixed number.
21 ÷ 20 is 1 remainder 1. 1 1/20
