How do white blood cells defend the body?
A
They can ingest pathogens (kill and destroy them) they engulf them
They produce antibodies to hell destroy particular pathogens
They prod us antitoxins to counteract the toxins(poisons) that pathogens produce

How are many pathogens prevented from entering the body?
A
By the skin and pathogens are also trapped by mucus and killed by stomach acid

A
Blood cell which is involved in the immune system of the body, engulfing bacteria, making antibodies and making antitoxins

The body system which recognises and destroys foreign cells or proteins such as invading pathogens
