What were the events of the October Revolution?

A
  • 24th Oct: The Military Revolutionary Committee (MRC) (Bolshevik’s Army) attack the Provisional Government
  • The soldiers defending the PG did little to stop the attack with many siding with the Bolsheviks
  • Following Trotsky’s plans, the MRC occupied important post offices and train stations, giving the Bolsheviks control over the infrastructure of Petrograd
  • 25th Oct: Bolsheviks announce themselves as the new Government as Kerensky (leader of PG) had fled for his life
