HOW TO DO ION-ELECTRON METHOD?

A

buat mcm balance redox biasa

  1. eqn bhagi 2
  2. balncekan except H,O
  3. balance o dngn ymbat h2o,balance oH dngn tmabah H+

.4. Balance the net charge in each half-equation by adding electron to
the side that has more +ve charge.
5. Multiply the half-equations by appropriate integers to make ē gain equals ē
loss.
6. Add two half-equations in an overall equation. Cancel any species
appearing on both sides.
* Check whether the net charge and atoms are balanced on both sides of
the equation.

Q

how to balance Redox Equations For Basic Solutions

A

Assume the solution were acidic. Balance the equation as if it is in
an acidic solution.
Then follow a simple three-step :

1. Add to both sides of the equation the same number of OH- as
there are H+
to eliminate ALL H+
2. Combine H+ and OH- to form H2O.
3. Cancel any H2O that you can
