16
Q

What do the C1 and C2 ELEC pump selectors control?

A

Center pump controls

AOM 13.20.2

17
Q

What do the two center pumps alternate between?

A

As a primary pump and a demand pump.

AOM 13.20.2

18
Q

When does the center primary pump operate?

A

Continuously after the second engine is started.

AOM 13.20.2

19
Q

When conditions does the center demand pump operate?

A

System low pressure
or
On the ground for the first three minutes after the second engine is started
or
From takeoff thrust until radio altitude exceeds 2000 feet
or
flaps or slats are in motion
or
during descent when gear lever is down and radio altitude is less than 2000 feet until groundspeed is less than 60 knots.

AOM 13.20.2

20
Q

What protection does the center hydraulic system have in the event of a leak?

A

Isolation functionality that ensures the crew can lower the landing gear and that the nose wheel steering is operational for landing, rollout and taxi.

AOM 13.20.3

21
Q

What does the Isolation function on the Center system use?

A

Nose gear Isolation Valve (NGIV)
Reserve steering Isolation Valve ( RSIV)
Alternate Extend Isolation Valve (AEIV)
Reservoir standpipe

AOM 13.20.3

22
Q

How does the crew control the isolation valve for lowering the landing gear?

A

You don’t. It is automatic.

AOM 13.20.3

23
Q

If a hydraulic pump is shed, where is this shown?

A

LOAD SHED is shown on the hydraulic synoptic next to the demand pump symbol.

AOM 13.20.3

24
Q

What hydraulic power does the RAT provide?

A

5000PSI to primary flight controls connected to the C hydraulic system

AOM 13.20.3

25
Q

At what altitudes does the RAT provide hydraulic power?

A

Throughout the flight envelope

AOM 13.20.3

26
Q

When does the RAT deploy with respect to hydraulics?

A

All three hydraulic system pressures are low

AOM 13.20.3

27
Q

How is the RAT deployed?

A

Spring-loaded actuator
It can not be stowed in flight once deployed

AOM 13.20.3

28
Q

SWITCHES:

Ram Air Turbine Unlocked (UNLKD) Light

A

The RAT is not in the stowed position

AOM 13.20.2

29
Q

SWITCHES:

Ram Air Turbine Pressure (PRESS) Light is illuminated (White)

A

The RAT is deployed
center system primary flight control hydraulic pressure is greater than 3000PSI

AOM 13.10.2

30
Q

SWITCHES:
Left/Right Engine (L/R ENG) PRIMARY Pump Switches
ON/OFF
FAULT

A

ON- the engine-driven hydraulic pump pressurizes the related left or right hydraulic system when engine starts

Off (ON not visible) - the engine-driven hydraulic pump is turned off and depressurized
