- Place both crutches one step ahead
- Put the affected foot forward in line with crutches

- Used on the contralateral side of the painful limb
- Arm flexed 15 degrees at the elbow

- Must be prescribed according to the patients specific needs
- Must fit to 2-3 fingers below the axilla with the patients weight placed on the arms
- The weight bearing status of the patient must be indicated and gait training is required to teach the proper technique
