What motor skills does a child have from 4-12 months?
4 - squeeling and cooing, turns head to human speech
5 - recognises different sounds (ba vs ga), produces more consonant sounds
6 - longer vowels, babbling, more syllables
8 - puts objects in mouth whilst making noises
10 - produce sound play, bubbles, syllable combinations (da da ma ma)
12 - repeated syllables with different consonants (ba da ma)
What are the stages of developing morphology?

What is overgeneralisation?
Using an inflectional morpheme when it’s not normally used e.g. foots, mans, he goed

2 (22-30m) - 2/3 words, rising intonation, ‘what, why’
3 (24-40m) - 3/4 words, inversion, ‘who, how’

1 (18-26m) - ‘no’, ‘not’
2 (22-30m) - ‘no’/’not’ to verb, ‘don’t’/’can’t’
3 (24-40m) - ‘didn’t’/’won’t’ to verb
