There are a number of support networks in place to aid in promoting Equality and Diversity, and ensure that this is adhered to in all settings
Advocacy Services
Advocacy means getting support from another person in order to help an individual express their views and wishes and ensure their voice is heard

informal support
Individuals may receive informal support from people they know such as friends, family and neighbours. Often these people provide essential services such as shopping or driving the individual to medical appointments
an example of using informal support
This type of support can for example support an older person to maintain their independence and help them continue living in their own home.
