The point where you connect with the outside world via ISP and/or you WAN provider. Where you can connect with CPE.
Nickname is “Demarc.”
It is usually located within a building as a NIC device.

What is a Smartjack? Describe it.
A
A Network Interface Unit where ISP can control remotely.
This is owned by an ISP, which is the device that determines the NIU with built-in diagnostics to troubleshoot which side of the issue is coming from. (ISP or customer side).
