A
The placenta connects the embryo with the mother and it controls the exchange of substances beetwen their circulatory system. The organism obtains nutrients and removes waste products.

Umbilical cord
A
The umbilical cord connects the circulatory system of the fetus with the placenta. It is formed by 1 vein and 2 arteries which are in charge of substance transport.

Amniotic sac
A
The amniotic sac is a membrane containing amniotic fluid which surrouns the fetus. This sac protects the living organism, maintains its temperature and allows it to move freely.
