A
- Stalin claimed territories that the USSR had annexed land in Poland and Baltic and they’d be compensated with German territory
- Land troops in France rather than Balkans to open second front

What did Tehran mean for the USSR?

- USSR liberate eastern and south-eastern Europe to turn into Soviet sphere of interest
- This left the Western powers having to recognise USSR’s claims to Poland and the Baltic states
- Could influence entire region with no opposition to claims of the countries
