Q

Interrelationships Between the Dimensions of Health and Wellbeing:

A

How?
Physical -> Mental.

How? Mental -> Physical.

Example:
Being free from illness (physical), can enable individuals to participate in physical activity. Physical activity releases endorphins that help people feel better about themselves, promoting positive self-esteem (mental). Having a higher self-esteem can make an individual more likely to participate in regular physical activity, leading to adequate levels of fitness (physical).

Example:
If an individual is overweight (physical), they may develop a negative body image, could lead to a reduction in self-esteem (mental). Having low self-esteem could mean they are less likely to participate in physical activity, leading to inadequate levels of fitness (physical).
