- Certificate of practical completion is issued
- Retention reduces (usually by half, or whatever is stated in the Contract Particulars)
- Contractor’s liability for liquidated damages ends
- Contractor cannot claim extension of time and loss/expense
- Defects liability period (aka rectification period) begins
- Final account is forecasted
- Employer takes possession of the site
- Contractor’s insurance cover ceases
- Contractor not responsible for site security
- Handover takes place
