Ex:
When I reached the final year of university, I realized that I needed to find an internship, so I took the bull by the horn and contacted dozens of companies.
Tell me about a time in your life when you faced a difficult situation and you took action to improve that situation
Go the extra mile
Do more work than expected or required
“Go” will change depending on person and tense
Ex:
* He got the promotiom because he went the extra mile.
* My friend is very hardworking, he always goes the extra mile.
* I thought I can impress my boss by going the extra mile, but I was wrong.
Practice: Tell a story about a time you either went the extra mile or regretted not doing the extra mile.
Once in a blue moon
Omething that happens very rarely, almost never happens
sometimes we regret that it happens rarely
Adverb of frequency (like Rarely, often) but at end of sentence
Present tende
تقریبا هرگز، بندرت، گاه گاهی
- he helps his wife clean the house once in a blue moon
- I get up late once in a blue moon
Easier said than done
Easy to say, but hard to do. Not practical in reality.
That’s easier said than done.
It’s easier said than done.
I should get up and do yoga at 5 am every morning before going to work, but that’s easier said that done!
Apple shoud create an exciting and revolutionary new product like the iPhone “Easier said than done”

In an uncocomfortable situation, feel different to the people around you
Part of a grammatical phrase:
* I was like a fish out of watrer.

“I don’t like basketball, so I was like a fish out of water at the LA Lakers game.”
Challenge:

when you try to get control of yourself or your emotions usually it’s after something bad happens. But you keep going
Get control of your emotions, often after bad news
He pulled himself together after hearing that bad news.

The strong, handsome but arrogant guy, gets turned down by Belle. He asks Belle to marry him but she says no, feeled so embarrasses. I said him “You’ve got to pull yourself together”

I you come back from seeing the doctor:
The doctor told me that I have to lose weight, but that’s just the tip of the iceberg. (I also have lots of other health problems, losing weight is one of them)

Use anytime you want to shorten/sumarize the story

Choose story, give a short background and then use idiom in middle if the answer/
