Dx Criteria for Panic D/O
–Recurrent, unexpected & disabling panic attacks
—w/ agoraphobia and/or fear of ‘nother attack

Dx Criteria for GAD
A. Excessive worry (more days than not) x6 mos
B. Difficult to ctrl worry
C. W/ 3+ of:
—restlessness, fatiguability, diff conc, irritability, muscles tense, sleep disturb
D. Significant impairment
E. Not drugs or dz
F. Not other d/o
Dx Criteria for OCD
A. Obsessions and/or compulsions —obsessions ego-dystonic; tries to ignore/neutralize them —compulsions not logical B. Time-consum, impairment C. Not substance or dz D. not other d/o

PANIC D/O TX: CBT incl exposure + SSRIs; benzos only short-term
GAD TX: CBT + SSRIs or SNRIs
OCD: CBT + clomipramine, fluoxetine, fluvoxamine; psychosurg
