Main Engine High EGT or EGT Split

A
  1. Monitor EGT to ensure it does not exceed 1250deg F or differ more than 200deg F from the paired engine.
  2. Reduce N1 on affected engine, as required.
  3. Attempt to resume former N1 as EGT stabilizes.
  4. Shut down affected engine prior to EGT reaching 1275deg F.

  1. Reduce N1 on affected engine as required.
  2. If symptoms clear, resume former N1 settings.
  3. If symptoms persist, shut down affected engine.

  1. Open crossover valve.
  2. If fuel pressure continues to drop, close crossover valve, go hull borne, shut down affected engines and fuel system.
  3. If fuel pressure continues to drop, shut down unaffected engines and fuel system.

  1. Ensure engine balance is ON.
  2. Reduce N1 on affected engine to min.
  3. Switch engine control channels and resume former settings.
  4. If engine balance is not restored, turn engine balancing OFF and manually balance using N1 knobs.

  2. Acknowledge alarm.
  3. Verify ambient air temperature is <40 deg F. If T1 temp is = 120 deg F, no further action is required.
  4. If a main engine T1 temp is >120 deg F, secure associated main engine.
