The scientific study of human behaviour and mental processes.
What are Mental Processes?
Mental Processes are any process that happens in the mind.
What is Behaviour?
Behaviour refers to any type of action that is made by a living person that can be observed or measured.
What is the Aim?
An aim is a statement that outlines the purpose of an investigation as clearly and precisely as possible.
What is a Research Hypothesis?
It is a testable prediction of the relationship between two or more variables.
What should a Research Hypothesis contain?
it should be written as one sentence
and include the IV DV, the direction or strenth of the variables, the population and a comparison of the groups.
What is the connection between the Hypothesis Theories and Models?
What is a variable?
Variables are elements that can change in an investigation. They can be modified, measured or controlled
What is an controlled variable?
They are kept the same in an experiment by the experimenter to remove potential effects that could influence the dependent variable.
What is an Operationalising Variable?
Operationalising varibles mean difining how variables will be manipulated and measured within a research investigation.
