A. Draw a Rectangle in your Canvas using OUTLINE layer only. (6)

  1. Click Spline tool.
  2. Check Spline tool options.
  3. Under the Layer Type find and select OUTLINE Layer only.
  4. Click the first point in your canvas
  5. Move your mouse cursor to your prepared location for the second point then click on it.
  6. Move your mouse cursor going to the Tool Properties Window then look for the Make a Spline icon then click on it.

B. Draw a Circle in your Canvas using REGION and OUTLINE layers only. (5)

  1. Click the circle tool. Check now the Tool Properties for the Circle Tool Options.
  2. Under the Layer Type find and select Region and Outline Layer only.
  3. Create now your circle in your canvas in wherever position/location you preferred.
  4. Click now on the transform tool.
  5. Select the layer (outline or region layer) from the layer window if you want to modify
    the forms of your layers.

  2. Once the file is load-up you can now start to clear your Canvas.
  3. Press Ctrl+Shift+A to select all the layers in the layers panel.
  4. Click Delete Layer / Press Delete / Ctrl+Del

E. Modifying Existing Object Colors in your Canvas for the OUTLINE layer (4)

  1. Click on a blank space on the canvas to deselect any objects.
  2. Click on the preferred outline layer in the layer window.
  3. Check and select the rectangle next to the color parameter in the parameter panel.
  4. Edit now the color by choosing your desired color from the color wheel then click close.

  2. Move your curser going to the layers panel.
  3. Hold Ctrl key from your keyboard.
  4. Select the layers that you want to group from the layer’s panels.
  5. Click the group layer icon from the options provided at the bottom part of your layers
    panel.

H. Turning on the Animate Editing Mode in your Timetrack (6)

  1. Open Synfig Studio file that you want to modify.
  2. Select the object/layer that you want to modify from the layers panel.
  3. Move your cursor in the timetrack panel
  4. Locate for the animate editing mode icon (green).
  5. Click on the animate editing mode icon
  6. The red outline box should appear in the canvas as an indicator that it is now enabled.

  1. Select the object/layer that you wanted to move from the layers panel.
  2. Click the animate editing mode from the timetrack panel to enable it.
  3. Go to the current frame selected.
  4. Type the number of frames you want to move your object then hit enter key.
  5. Click the position handle of your selected object in the canvas then move it to your
    preferred location.

  1. Move your cursor to going to the lower palette of your toolbox.
  2. Click first the outline color icon – mouse over to check for the name of it.
  3. Choose any color that you desired for your outline from the color wheel then click close.
  4. Click next the fill color icon – mouse over to check for the name of it.
  5. Choose any color that you desired for your fill from the color wheel then click close.
