1-3 Exploring Angle Relationships Flashcards
angle
region between 2 rays that are joined together at the endpoints.
degrees
measures of angles
protractors
used to measure angles in degrees.
vertex
common point where rays meet.
interior
region bewtween two rays
arc
show measures are equal
congruent angles
if two or more angles have the same measure then they are congruent.
adjacent angles
two angles that share the same common ray(side) and same endpoint, but must not overlap.
angle bisector
ray that divides an angle into two congruent parts.
complementary angles
two or more adjacent or non-adjacent angles whos measures sum to 90 degrees.
supplementary angles
two or more adjacent or non- adjacent angles whos measures sum to 180 degrees.
linear pair
a pair of adjacent angles whos non-common sides form a line.
vertical angles
two angles whos sides are opposite rays.
