শুল্ক ও বাণিজ্য সংক্রান্ত সাধারণ চুক্তি (General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade -GATT) অনেকগুলো দেশের মধ্যে একটি আইনি চুক্তি , যার সামগ্রিক উদ্দেশ্য ছিল আন্তর্জাতিক বাণিজ্যের ক্ষেত্রে বিভিন্ন বাধা যেমন- শুল্ক, কোটা ইত্যাদি কমিয়ে বা নির্মূল করে আন্তর্জাতিক বাণিজ্যের প্রসার ঘটানো।
১৯৪৭ সালের ৩০ অক্টোবর জেনেভায় ২৩ টি দেশ GATT সৃষ্টির জন্য স্বাক্ষর করে। ১লা জানুয়ারী ১৯৪৮ এ তা কার্যকর হয়। ১৪এপ্রিল ১৯৯৪ সালে উরুগুয়ের রাউন্ড এগ্রিমেন্টস এর মাধ্যমে এর অবসান ঘটে ও বিশ্ব বাণিজ্য সংস্থা (WTO) এর সৃষ্টি হয়। যা ১ জানুয়ারী ১৯৯৫ থেকে কার্যকর হয়। উরুগুয়ের রাউন্ডে বিশ্ব বাণিজ্য সংস্থা সৃষ্টিতে বিশ্বের ১২৩টি দেশ স্বাক্ষর করে।
১৯৪৭ সালে যেখানে শুল্কের হার ছিল ২২%, বিশ্ব বাণিজ্য সংস্থার সৃষ্টিতে তা ৫% এ নেমে আসে। তাই বলা যায় GATT এর সফল উত্তরাধীকার হল বিশ্ব বাণিজ্য সংস্থা (WTO)।

১৯৪৫ সালে ব্রেটন উডস সম্মেলনের মাধ্যমে আইএমএফ(IMF-International Monetary Fund বা আন্তর্জাতিক মুদ্রা তহবিল) প্রিতিষ্ঠিত হয়। এর সদস্য সংখ্যা বিশ্ব ব্যাংকের সদস্য সংখ্যার সমান ১৮৯ টি। এর সদর দপ্তর ওয়াশিংটন ডিসিতে অবস্থিত। বিস্বব্যাপী আর্থিক সহযোগিতা, অর্থনৈতিক স্থিতিশীলতা, আন্তর্জাতিক বাণিজ্যের প্রসার, টেকসই অর্থনৈতিক প্রবৃদ্ধি, বেকারত্ব দূর করে বিশ্ব ব্যাপী দারিদ্র্য হ্রাস করা এইএমএফ এর মূল লক্ষ।

The Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) is the highest entry level position or rank of Bangladesh Police.
Among the total posts of ASPs, two-third are taken directly and rest one-third posts are filled up through promotion of the Inspectors. The direct recruitment procedure of ASP is conducted by Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC).
