ok so I am going to give my verbal interpertation of how I remember ZOW. and all of the pressures then I will provide a diagram for my demastration

  1. start with a picture so …. step one is draw > > > three times on a piece of paper label each one in order (top to bottom) 1..2..3
  2. Ask your self what pressures are always stronger artery or venous.. duh artery. this means Pa will always go before PV in every zone!!
  3. Next starting in zone 1 write PA First b/c we know the alveoli pressure is the highest here
  4. Next right PA in the middle of zone 2 b/c as we go down zones Alveoli pressure decreases
  5. next place PA in the last spot in Zone 3 b/c it is now the least pressure
  6. Ok now go back and fill in the Pa and PV values in teh empty spots. *** remember in every zone arterial pressure is always higher than venous
