- Lots of data is normally distributed (ie. height, IQ).
o Ie. Patient gets brain damage in car crash. IQ on WAIS now=85. Not tested prior. Likelihood of IQ adversely affected by crash?
o WAIS normally distributed by non-brain damaged people.
o U(mean)=100; o(SD)=15
o Data shows pop is normal; Z TEST helps show proportion of non-brain damaged people scoring =85/the PROB of patient coming from non-brain damaged pop/the PROB of randomly taking the IQ value from pop.
