ROMA
Someone who has traditionally had an itinerant way of life, originally from India
GYPSY
Someone from an ethnic race who may or may not move around
TRAVELLER
Someone who traditionally did not settle anywhere
STEERAGE
Part of the ship providing the cheapest accommodation
UPPER-CLASS
Social group with the highest status in society, often part of the aristocracy
MIDDLE-CLASS
Social group who are neither very rich nor very poor, often professional e.g. teachers
WORKING-CLASS
Social group who amongst the poorest in society, often doing manual work, e.g. cleaners
SUFFRAGE
The right to vote in elections
SUFFRAGIST
Campaigners who used peaceful, constitutional methods to get women the vote
SUFFRAGETTE
Campaigner who used more radical, violent methods to get women the vote
TERRORISM
The use of threat or violence with a political motive
LGBTQ
(Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer)
PARALYMPIC
An international sports competition for people with disabilities
