- Greater troch, femoral head & neck in profile w/o foreshortening.
- Lesser troch should not project below medial border of femur.

AP Exposure EC
A
- Margins of femoral head & acetabulum seen through pelvic structures w/o superimposing other parts of femur or pelvis.
- Trabecular markings of greater troch & neck appear sharp/

XT Hip IR placement
A
At crest crease, parallel to femoral neck

XT rotation
A
15-20 if no fracture

- Greater troch is superimposed by distal femur.
- Only small part of lesser is visualized.
- ST shouldn’t superimpose hip.
