Explain what happened to the Lusitania
The Lusitania was a ship that was heavily armed, but not a battleship. The German ship sank the Lusitania killing 128 Americans. It was the main reason why Woodrow Wilson decided to join the war.

It had detrimental effects on the US economy, and the US government protested the blockades
How did the events of the Lusitania impact America, and why
Woodrow Wilson felt that this was a good reason good war with Germany and so they enter World War I
Explain what the Zimmerman telegram was
A telegram sent by Germany to Mexico, suggesting that they invade America, and in return, they will gain back their lost land. Germany did this, so America would be too distracted to enter WWI. This increased the US is support for the Allied powers.
Explain what happened in Russia in February and March 1917
Riots, protesting the shortage of food force Russia’s czar Nicholas, the second out of power. Russia withdraws from war.
How did the events in Russia impact America’s involvement in WWI?
It impacted America because it put America’s allies, France and Britain, at risk.
