How can you tell if a number is rational?
A number can be shown to be rational by writing it in a form A/B where A and B are integers, and B is not zero. If the number can’t be written in this form, it is not rational.
How can you tell if a number is irrational?
A number can be shown to be irrational if it is not terminating, repeating or it cannot be turned into a fraction.
What are the steps to turn a decimal into a fraction?
X=OGE
Multiply by a power of 10
Subtract by the OGE
Solve and simplify
Divide and ‘abc’ button on calculator to check
How to find the square root?
Find the two numbers closest to them, then put it on a number line. Figure out, which is closer and make an estimate to the square root based off that.
m2=14
m= square root of 14, positive or negative
How to find the area of one face of a cube?
Cubic root of the volume and multiply to find the area.
Example: 125=5
5*5=25
