What are the differences between democracies and dictatorships?
Democracies: eryone can have a say, government voted in
Dictatorships: not much freedom, one person or group in charge
Why did support for the nazis grow?
Because they said that they could rebuild germany after the first world war, they offered shelter and a better economy
What did the treaty of versailles say? And why was it hated by germany
It said that germany had to pay for the war, they had to pay millions to other countries
What was the blitzkrieg?
A tactic used by the germans, they bombed first and then sent in tanks. It was very effective as it caught the opposition while they were disorganised.
What happened in dunkirk in 1941?
Hudreds of thousands of british soldiers were on a beach in france called dunkirk, they were being attacked and almost 70,000 were killed, injured or missing. However most of the british soldiers managed to escape.
