The Senate had to approve it , and the Republicans (majority of senate) had issues with it
What policy did Republicans and Congress believe that kept them from supporting the league of nations? Why were they against it? 
They were isolationist, wanted to stay out of foreign affairs fares, they believed the league of nations would draw them into another war

Germany is damaged badly, countries are broken apart, and created -the us did not join
