It played a crucial role in supporting the war effort and contributing to the victory by manufacturing supplies for military, people conserving food (creating victory gardens), volunteerism (knitting socks), & propaganda.

Trench Warfare, Battles of Somme, Ypres. no mans land, artillery.
Conscription Crisis
The recruiting effort in Quebec had failed, and the Canadian gov had to force service in people.
Women during the War- How did their role change? Contributions
Women entered the workforce (munition factories, farms), Nursing and medical services, volunteerism.

Victory Gardens, Waste collections & to not waste, early dismissal, community projects (to raise money), victory bonds, rationing and restrictions, Canadian Patriotic fund (charity that provides help for soldiers family overseas)

Describe Canadas 100 days
The Germans launched a massive offensive, pushing back the Allies 30 miles. On August 8, Canadian, British, and Australian troops pushed back Germans 13 km in one day. Over the next 100 days Canadian troops continued to force German to retreat. Germany requests an armistice ending WW1.
What is shock/storm troops
A name given to canadian soldiers for their determination in fighting

Germany was forced to give up territory and colonies to France, Belgium, Denmark, and Poland.
