Used introspection to study human mind. He asked his students to examine their feeling, emotions and sensations.
He studied human mind using structuralism whereby he broke down behaviours in to basic elements
He separated psychology from its philosophical roots
Evaluate Wundt’s work of psychology?
weaknesses
It was biased because he used his own students.
The evaluation is open to interpretation thus questioning its validity.
There is a delay between our conscious experience and reporting its existence.eg we sometimes forget part of our conscious before reporting it.
Reports of our conscious might be distorted eg. we may pretend to be positive than usual.
we are generally unaware of the process of our conscious thoughts, we tend to be aware of the outcome itself instead.
Strengths
Provides useful information especially, if it relate so on going experience
