STIPULATIONS FOR SEAT BAGGAGE
Mesa Airlines, Inc. will allow certain large and/or fragile items to be carried in the passenger
cabin if a seat is purchased for the item as long as the item:
(1) Does not exceed 170 lbs.
(2) Is packaged or covered to avoid injury to passengers.
(3) Is properly secured by a seat belt.
(4) Will not restrict access to, or use of, an emergency exit, regular exit or cabin aisle.
(5) Does not block any passenger’s view of the Seat Belt, No Smoking or Exit signs.
(6) Does not contain dangerous goods. Refer to the Mesa Airlines, Inc. Hazardous Materials
Manual to determine items that would be classified as dangerous goods.
(7) Has one or more handles that allow the seat belt, or seat belt with extender, to go
through and secure the baggage to the seat.
(8) Not restrained to bulkheads.

HEAVY bags are considered any bag that weighs more than 50 lbs. but less than 100
lbs.
HOW HEAVY IS A MOTORIZED MOBILITY AID
Motorized mobility aids, each weighing 90 lbs.
HOW MUCH DO SKIS AND BOOTS WEIGH
Skis weigh 14 lbs. and ski boots weigh eight lbs.
HOW MUCH DOES A SERVICE DOG WEIGH
An animal which is used by a disabled person will be allowed in the passenger compartment.
Such animals will be considered to weigh 80 lbs. each.
