PVD Assessment Methods

Press patients calf while moving foot into dorsiflexion
Homans Sign
Time elapsed is recorded when calf pain prevents continued walking
Claudication
Involves controlled application of subatmospheric pressure to a wound
Negative Pressure Wound Therapy (Wound Vac)
