What were Hitler’s five steps to war?

Explain step one of Hitlers plan.
Hitler gave the excuse of the USSR and France’s new mutual assistance treaty, stating that Germany was now surrounded and needed protection.
How did Europe respond to step one?
The British refused to do anything and the French wouldn’t do anything without them.
Explain step two of Hitlers plan.
Hitler claimed that he invaded to restore Austria’s order. In reality, it was its own Nazi party that was causing all the trouble. Hitler eventually succeeded in getting a Nazi in power who then asked for the invasion to “restore order”.
How did Europe react to step two?
The former leader asked Britain, Italy, and France for help, but they refused to.
Explain step 3 of Hitlers plan
Hitler claimed that the Czech government was mistreating its almost 3 million German citizens. Studeten’s own Nazi party then began holding pro German demonstrations and demand that it become part of Germany.
How did Europe respond?
France began to prepare for war, while Britain’s prime minister wanted to avoid a war. He convinced CZ to give up parts of the Sudetenland while he met with Hitler. he promised that the rest of CZ would be fine if he just got the Sudetenland (the Munich agreement).

Hitler invaded the rest of Czechoslovakia
What was Europe’s response to step 4?
Britain and France didn’t do anything, but they promised to help Poland if Hitler invaded.
Explain step 5 of Hitlers plan.
Hitler said that it was wrong to take away the polish corridor (treaty of Versailles) from Germany and split it in two.
How did Europe respond to step 5?
Britain and France declared war on Germany.
What were the ghetto’s?
An area of a city where Jews were required to live.
What were the Nuremberg laws?
They were laws that took away the citizenship and civil rights.
Why were many Canadians hesitant about letting Jews into the country?
Many people thought that they wouldn’t assimilate well into Canadian society.
