What was the zimmerman telegram?
The zimmerman telegram was a message in code from germany to tell mexico that they could have US territory, which caused the US to declare war on germany.
How was trench warfare used and how did geography affect it?
Trenches were used a shelter for soldiers during battle. They were dirty, diease infested, and smelled. Most soldiers ended up sick. The front lines were the first to battle. These people were in the trenches first and would be the first people to fight. Next were the second and third lines, who would go in only if the front line needed support. Finally, the back line was used for emergency purposes if the soldiers needed a break from battle.
What caused Russia to withdraw from the war?
The Bolsheviks took control over Russia and focused on building a communist government.
What caused the US to join the allies in the war?
The country joined war with the allies becuase Germany had attacked American merchant vessels and had meddled in the US-mexican relationships.
