What was Trench Warfare?
Trench warfare was a style of fighting where the soldiers were in trenches or ditches in the ground to fight from both sides.
What does “Over the top” mean and why was it feared?
It means the soldiers came out of the trenches and fought on the flat ground to rush the other forces and it was feared because German soldiers could be hiding and surprise you.
What supply ship sunk to bring the US into the war?
RMS Lusitania

It was a song to help recruit americans to fight in the war.
Who were doughboys and why were they called that?
Doughboys were American Soldiers when their uniforms were rained on and their uniforms turned a doughy color so that’s why they were called doughboys.
Who was Uncle Sam and what did he originate from?
Uncle Sam was an icon for Americans to recruit soldiers to the war pointing at you and saying we want you for the U.S army. He originated from Samuel Wilson who was a general during the 1812 war and his photo was supplied with meat ration supplies for american troops during WW1.
What did the Treaty of Versailles mean for Germany?
1.They had to pay billions for the damages of the war.
2. They had to take the blame.
3. The had to slash a bunch of their army and oversea countries were taken from them.
