Halifax Explosion

A

-Dec 6th, 1917, The French cargo ship collided with the Norweigian Vessle (One was leaving, the other was entering.)
-Both carried explosives that were being transported as resources
-Both caught on fire
-After 20 mins, an enormous explosion occurred, killing people on the ships and those watching.

-Forced Germany to sign a War Guilt Clause
-This resulted in a loss of territories, a reduction in military services and payments to the Allied Forces
-Sent Germany into Poverty.
-Germans were furious and found it unfair
