Font: Complete set of characters with the same type face or design.
Font size: Measured in points.
Point: 1/72 of an inch.
Theme: Related set of fonts, colors, style, & effects that is applied to an entire document.
Drop cap: Large initial capital letter, often used to set off the first paragraph of an article.-insert tab.
Bold: Makes text darker.
Italic: Slanted text.
Format painter: Word feature that allows you to copy all the format settings applied to text-clipboard group.
Style: Set of formats, such as font, font size & paragraph alignment that are stored together.
Quick styles: Designed to be used together in a document to make it attractive and readable.
Left aligned: Flush with left margin with ragged right edge.
Right aligned: Flush with the right margin with ragged left edge.
Center: Positioned evenly between left & right margins.
Justify: Both left and right edges are flush with left and right margins.
Tab stop: Point on the horizontal ruler that indicates the location at which to align text.
Indent: Moves edges in from left or right margin.
Indent markers: On ruler and indicate settings for the paragraph insertion points.
Left indent: Left edge of the paragraph is moved in from left margins.
Right indent: Ride edge is moved in from right margin.
First line indent: First line of paragraph is indented but not the others.
Hanging indent: All lines intended but the first.
Bibliography: A list of sources that you consulted or cited in creating in the cited.
Negative indent: The left edge of a paragraph is moved to the left of the left margin.
Bullet: Character, often a small circle, that appears before the items in a list to add emphasis.
Borders: Lines you add above, below, to the side or around the words.
Shading: Color or pattern you apply behind words or paragraphs to make them stand out on a page.
High lighting: Transparent color that is applied to text using the highlight pointer-in font group.
Footnote & end notes: Are used in printed documents to provide further information, comment on, or supply reference for text - reference tab.
