What is a table of content?
A table of content is a list found at the start of a document with titles & subtitles with their corresponding page no. It allows the reader to go directly to a specific chapter by referring to the table of contents.
- Where is ‘Styles’ ribbon found in word?
- Where is the ‘Insert Caption’ & ‘Insert Table of Figures’ button found in word?
- It is found is the home tab.
NOTE: Heading 1 is for main titles and Heading 2 is for subtitles. - They are found in the references tab.
What is mail merge?
•A mail merge can be useful when a document needs to be sent to many people.
•A single letter (template) can be drafted and sent automatically to many people.
Note: A template is a sample document that has been pre-formatted.
What are some examples of using mail merge in our daily life?
- You could write a single letter & send it to all your friends to inform them about an event like a birthday party or even a picnic.
- At school, the school secretary can write a single letter & send it to all parents to inform them about the AGM or PTA.
What are the three main steps to create a mail merge?
- Create a mailing list.
- Create a template.
- Insert fields to merge the 2 documents.
In which tab is the ‘mail merge’ option found in word?
Ans: It is found is the mailings tab.
